DWP MOVES TO PRIME NEW OFFICE IN BOLTON

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Gordon Moon Properties (GMP) today announce a new agreement which will see the DWP move in to three floors of Bolton’s tallest grade A office building, 120 Bark Street, spanning 20,794 sq ft (1,931.8sq m) in total.

The move, which demonstrates the DWP’s long term commitment to Bolton and the North West, is one of the town centre’s largest and most significant office deals of the year.

DWP are very excited about our upcoming move to 120 Bark Street. The traditional office requirements have changed so much over the last two years. This move enables DWP to benefit from unrivalled office provision within Bolton, with professional services and amenities to enhance their employee experience.

James Gordon, Director, Gordon Moon Properties, said: “This announcement is fantastic for Bolton and further demonstrates how grade A town centre office space, such as 120 Bark Street, is in high demand following the shift change in the way people work and live. The wider regeneration taking place across the town is creating a compelling offer for employers across the North West and we are working with key stakeholders to provide commercial property for long term occupiers. We are pleased to be working with the DWP and look forward to a successful partnership together.”

The grade A office space has become an iconic feature of Bolton’s developing skyline and provides contemporary, high specification office space across seven storeys with rooftop views and easy access to all town centre amenities and transport hubs including the new interchange.

Cushman and Wakefield acted on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions and CBRE acted on behalf of Gordon Moon Properties. The move is expected to be completed by Autumn 2022.
