1950s

Gordon Moon returns from the armed forces and having always lived in Ashton-Under-Lyne he and family relocate to Bolton to establish and successfully build a paper merchant business.

1960s

The first property deal marks the establishment of Gordon Moon Properties in 1962. With the threat from emerging supermarkets and the lure of the property industry the paper merchant business is sold.

1970s

Regular visits to the auction houses and investing in residential property the portfolio grows to contain almost 300 terraced houses

1980s

The business makes the transition from residential holdings to primarily investing in High Street retail buildings and land.

1990s

Making acquisitions across the region the portfolio grows and diversifies into all sectors.

2000s

Further acquisitions and new build developments show the business as a key member of the North West property market.

2010s

Gordon Moon Properties reaches its 50th Anniversary. A company restructure and asset refurbishment focus with strategic acquisitions further enables the business to continue adapting to an evolving property market in an expanding digital world.

2020s

A huge decade for Gordon Moon Properties and town centres alike. Adding to our prime asset portfolio and securing further high quality tenants with plenty of scope for adding value the company pushes on to contribute to the £1.5Bn Bolton Town Centre Masterplan residential led regeneration.
